Angus A. McRae, CEBS, President Angus founded the agency in 1992 after having worked for a third-party administrator for three years. A native of Ocala, Florida, he graduated from Florida State University in 1984. There he was active in the national business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi, serving as chapter president in 1983. In 1989, he graduated from Emory University with a master’s degree in business administration (MBA). He earned the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation in 1993.
Angus is a member of the Atlanta Medical Group Management Association, Atlanta Technology Angels, the Georgia Health Underwriter’s Association, and the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce.
Angus’ primary focus in life is his wife, Janet, and two children, McLean and Sarah. He enjoys being outdoors and and Masters swimming at the Fowler YMCA. He serves the community as a board member at the Fowler YMCA and volunteer with Getting2Tri Foundation.
Cindy L. Nash, Benefits Consultant Cindy earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration (Risk and Insurance) from Georgia State University in 1995. She is a licensed insurance agent. Cindy is well on her way to completing her CEBS designation – no small feat! She is a member of the Atlanta Medical Group Management Association.
Cindy joined our agency in 2000. Her primary roles at the agency are client management, plan marketing/analysis, and new business development. Industry specialties includes start-ups, attorney and physician practices.
In addition to her family (her husband, Lee, and two children, Emily and Jacob), Cindy’s major love is travel.
Deborah H. Michael, Benefits Consultant Deborah joined our insurance agency in 2001 after over five years tenure with Jefferson-Pilot Financial. She received her education at Auburn University and has more than 16 years of experience in the insurance industry.
Her primary duties include client development and retention, internal and external customer support, and securing companies risk with specialty lines including individual life, disability, key person and buy-sell agreements. Her industry specialty includes physician practices, technical companies, consulting and advertising agencies.
Deborah is active in Atlanta Medical Group Management Association and Johns Creek Healthcare Association. She is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and her interests include physical fitness, interior design and exploring her artistic nature.
Suzanne Kleeman, Benefits Consultant Suzanne joined the agency in 2005 after several years with Jefferson-Pilot Financial. Her primary role within the agency is business development and client management. Her focus is developing new solutions for clients to manage their benefits in addition to cultivating long term relationships through excellent customer service. Her industry specialty includes high-tech start-ups, attorney and physician practices.
Suzanne is an active member of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, serving on the Chamber’s Human Resource Management Association Board. She is also active in the North Fulton and North Metro Medical Management Association chapters.
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Georgia in 2003, with her major, Risk Management and Insurance.
Suzanne enjoys spending time with her family, including welcoming a daughter in 2011. She also enjoys playing tennis, sports and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs!
Daniel J. Nackers, Benefits Consultant Dan joined us in May of 2006 as our summer intern, and continued with us until he graduated from the University of Georgia in 2007 with a BBA in Risk Management and Insurance. After graduating, he joined Angus McRae on a full-time basis, and shortly after became a licensed agent. He now serves as the lead agent for a number of clients and also works as the account executive for a large number of Deborah’s clients.
A large sports fanatic, Dan enjoys fitness, playing golf and nearly any other sport he can get involved in. He is a native of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, and enjoys spending his free time with family and friends.
Deirdre Hurlburt, Account Executive Deirdre graduated in 2005 from the University of Georgia with a BBA in Risk Management & Insurance with a concentration in Marketing. After college, she worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance for over three years as a worker’s compensation claims adjuster. In January 2009, she started working for Angus McRae and began learning the broker’s side of the insurance industry.
Deirdre is a licensed agent and works as an account executive/producer. She services existing clients with their day-to-day customer service issues, upcoming renewals, quoting, and enrollment meetings, as well as assists with prospecting new client groups.
Deirdre is currently planning a wedding with her fiance, Kyle. She enjoys sports, physical fitness, and traveling as well as spending time with her family and friends.
